What it means

The IBAN does not have the length or structure required for its country (Romania: 24 characters, RO + 2 check digits + 4-letter bank code + 16 characters) or its check digits do not match.

Common causes

• IBAN copied with spaces or truncated.
• An old (non-IBAN) account number in IBANNumber – it belongs in BankAccountNumber.
• A country code that is not in the IBAN list.

How to fix it

1. Copy the IBAN from a statement, without spaces; non-IBAN accounts go into BankAccountNumber.
