What it means

D406 amounts have at most 2 decimals (pattern 16.2), quantities 6, exchange rates 4. The file has more decimals than the field allows.

Common causes

• Computed amounts (VAT, currency conversions) exported without rounding: 1210.005.
• Totals made by adding unrounded values.

How to fix it

1. Round to 2 decimals per line, then recompute totals from the rounded values – otherwise cents differ between lines and totals.
