SAF-T › D406 checks beyond ANAF

CUI with a wrong check digit in D406 (company or partner)

How it shows in our report

SAFT-ID-01 · Header/Company/RegistrationNumber · 12345675

What it means

The last digit of a CUI is a check digit computed from the others. A mistyped CUI almost always has a wrong check digit. ANAF's validator did not flag it for the company CUI in our tests.

Why it matters

ANAF uses D406 for risk analysis and compares it with the VAT return (D300) and D394. Mismatches like this do not block filing, but can lead to compliance letters or requests for clarification.

Common causes

How to fix it

  1. Check the CUI with ANAF (or /v1/company/{cui}) and fix it in the partner record.

Check your D406 file before filing it

We run ANAF's validator for your period plus the checks ANAF only does after filing: trial balance, balances, ledger totals, VAT, CUIs and IBANs. One free check per day.
