Stock D406: stock value does not match quantity × unit price or the stock account balance
How it shows in our report
SAFT-STK-01 · PhysicalStock/PhysicalStockEntry D1/P1 · 11 × 100.00 · corect: 1100.00 (acum 1300.00)
What it means
ClosingStockValue should be ClosingStockQuantity × UnitPrice, and the closing stock values should add up to the closing balance of the stock accounts used in the movements (e.g. 371 goods, 301 raw materials).
Why it matters
ANAF uses D406 for risk analysis and compares it with the VAT return (D300) and D394. Mismatches like this do not block filing, but can lead to compliance letters or requests for clarification.
Common causes
- The exported unit price is the sales price, not the book price.
- Price differences (378) not included.
- Warehouses missing from PhysicalStock.
How to fix it
- Export the book price and every warehouse; reconcile with the trial balance.
Check your D406 file before filing it
We run ANAF's validator for your period plus the checks ANAF only does after filing: trial balance, balances, ledger totals, VAT, CUIs and IBANs. One free check per day.
